Hi! I'm Diya and I am a sophomore at UNC Chapel Hill. I am very passionate about female empowerment and I aspire to help create a world where every woman can thrive and reach her full potential. Our motivation behind starting TSF stems from a deep-seated belief in the untapped potential of young women in these fields. . We aim to provide mentorship, resources, and opportunities to empower girls to confidently pursue their passions in STEM and break down barriers to their success. Outside of TSF and school, I love to spend my time learning different languages and traveling.

VARNIKA SHANMUGA

CO-FOUNDER AND VICE PRESIDENT

Hey there! I'm Varnika and I am a sophomore at NC State University. I'm deeply committed to promoting gender equity and fostering inclusive communities. At TSF, our journey began with the recognition of the underrepresentation of girls in STEM fields. Motivated by the desire to cultivate a more inclusive and diverse future, we founded our nonprofit to provide girls with that level of support to realize their full potential. Outside of TSF and school, my interests include machine learning and finding my zen through yoga.
